Our story starts on January 27, 2007 – when our founder, Oscar Farinetti opened the first Eataly in Torino, Italy, with the idea it would be much more than a store. He wanted to create a school, a market, a table to gather around all under one roof. He travelled across Italy’s 20 regions to find the best local producers who follow the Slow Food ethos – ensuring Eataly will be a place for food that is good, clean and fair.
Fast forward to 14 years later (oh, how time flies!), London will be our 43rd location around the world, from London to Milan to Los Angeles. Each store follows our original philosophy of providing a unique experience where people can eat, shop and learn about good food.
We’re so proud to introduce the UK to our Italian producers, and join them together with our local producers – making Eataly London a truly unique experience. We know of no other place where you can grab a bottle of wine off our shelves, have it with your meal at one of our restaurants, on your way out pick up some tomatoes, fresh mozzarella made in store, and a bottle of olive oil for tomorrow’s lunch, and top it all off with a cannoli to enjoy on the ride home — all within the same visit.
We’re more than a market and not only a restaurant – we’re just as Oscar had intended: a place where you can eat, shop and learn.
